Former Music and Entertainment Writer for The Flint Journal March 13, 2019 Segment Two Doug Pullen is the former music and entertainment writer for The Flint Journal for nearly twenty years. During that time span, Doug had a front row seat for Flint's musical revolution. Along the way, he covered all the big name acts who came through Flint and metro Detroit, as well as local bands who rewrote parts of music history, such as Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad of the stadium rock era, Ready for the World from the MTV generation, and local Flint legends MC Breed, and the Dayton Family, in the rap genre. Doug was also a key correspondent for other big name acts, including comedian, and television and film icon, Tim Allen.
